B-Movie line "Escape from New York" is looking to cash in on the Anime Trend
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the people behind "Escape from New York" and its sequel, "Escape from LA" are planning to create another sequel to the franchise taking "Japanese sensibility and combine that with Western storytelling."
The "anime movie" will be executively produced by the American producers, John Carpenter and Debra Hill, and animated by an unamed Japanese studio. Kurt Russel will provide the voice of the eye-patched mercenary "Snake Plissken," the part he played in the live action versions directed by Carpenter.
