Frequent Anime broadcaster WOWOW announces a significant loss in its fiscal report.
Frequent Anime broadcaster, Japanese TV station WOWOW, has announced a significant loss for the first half of its fiscal year preceding Spetember 30th.
The satellite broadcaster, which is well known for exclusive Anime broadcasts such as NieA_7, Gate Keepers and Vandread, announced that a net loss of 2.32 billion yen (US$18.9 million) has put it officially into debt.
The network, which posted a 536 million yen profit in 2000, saw its profit decimated by increasing costs in the competitive digital broadcasting market.
