AFI Film Fest Information

Escaflowne: A Girl in Gaia will be replacing a Miyazaki film at the AFI Film Fest, on the November 1st opening night. Due to "circumstances beyond our control," the Miyazaki program was dropped at the last minute. While it was too late to change this information in the already printed "quick guide," it will be listed correctly in the forthcoming AFI Fest official catalogue.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will be presenting a special program on anime on November 14, which will consist of various film clips (provided by Bandai, Manga, et al) along with a panel discussion on anime.
