Although many details need to be worked out, at the Newtype panel Digital Manga tentatively announced the Hikaru Sasahara, CEO of Digital Manga, mentioned he would like an American version of Newtype to include 70% Japanese news, 20% American news, and 10% European news. Ideally, if contract and copyright negotiations are successful, this monthly anime magazine could make its way over to America as early as Spring 2002.
