New Anime Expo Guest of Honor

Anime Expo has announced Mr. Morio Asaka as a new Guest of Honor. His credit list includes Animation Supervisor for Yawara and Azuki-chan and Chief Director of Card Captor Sakura.
Anime Expo is pleased to welcome Mr. Morio Asaka to our 10th Anniversary Celebration!
Mr. Asaka joined the renowned animation Studio Madhouse in 1987. During that time, he has worked on a wide variety of genres and titles. He served as Animation Supervisor for Yawara and Azuki-chan. His directing credits include the Rumiko Takahashi OVA Mermaid's Scar and Yuugen Kaisha (Phantom Quest Corp.). However, without a doubt, he will be most recognized as the chief director of the Card Captor Sakura TV series and as the director for both Card Captor Sakura movies. His most recent project is as Chief Director for the new TV series Galaxy Engel. This is Mr. Asaka's first U.S. convention appearance.
