Last year Japanese icon Hello Kitty and McDonald's restaurants in Singapore made headlines when customer demand for "Happy Meal" Hello Kitty dolls dressed in wedding gowns caused small scale riots and fist fights.
On January 4th of this year the 119 McDonald's restaurants in Singapore launched the 2001 series of wedding gown Hello Kitty toys. While some early morning crowds were reported no stampedes or fights have been reported.
It would seem that the demand isn't as great this year, but McDonald's isn't taking any chances, they've set a 4 items per customer limit and have hired extra security just in case.
