Star Blazers / Yamato producer in Jail

A japanese judge has sentenced Nishizaki Hirofumi, the producer of Star Blazers (Uchū Senkan Yamato / Space Battleship Yamato), to 5 and a half years of penal servitude for weapon and drug related crimes.
He was found in posession of illegally imported rifles and stimulant drugs which he was apparrently addicted to.
According to Anihabara, the chief judge admonished him to atone for the wrong he'd done, and not to waste his talent.
