Matsumoto Leiji to supervise artistic direction of Stan Lee project

Stan Lee Media, Inc. officially announced that it is partnering with the estate of Gene Roddenberry to develop the property known as Starship "into a global, multimedia entertainment franchise under the collective brands of Roddenberry, Stan Lee and famed Japanese visualist, director and writer Matsumoto Leiji (Familly name first).
Matsumoto will supervise the artistic direction as well as create the environements and starship designs for the project.
Starship will initially launch as a "rich media community with
innovative interactive storytelling, themed games, creativity and community tools and e-commerce and participation by a global fan base in the development of the franchise." A feature film will also be produced at a later stage.
