Bad Fan Behavior Could Lead to Cancelled Love Live Events
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
The official website for the ultra-popular Love Live! idol anime franchise is taking some event attendees to task. Videos began circulating of a group that attended a Love Live! Sunshine!! event at Akihabara UDX on December 22. Attendees complained that the raucous group were waving large light-up sticks, jumping, and screaming.

Attendees took to social media to share the videos and called for the group to be banned. Staff responded on the official website on Tuesday with a reminder of good event etiquette and a dire warning: poor behavior can reflect badly on the anime's cast and staff and could lead to events being cancelled in the future.
The staff reminded Love Livers that they should refrain from blocking pedestrian traffic, clogging entryways, yelling, snapping cast photos and videos when it is not allowed, following cast members to their vehicles, ignoring instructions from security and staff managers, and stalking the cast either from public transportation or by taxi or bike.
The warning actually marks the second from Love Live! staff in the same month. Staff reminded Numazu and Uchiura pilgrims to not inconvenience the locals and to not take photos of private residents, the school, and students without permission as it can lead to legal repercussions.
The staff gave a special reminder to not trespass at the Okawa family's row house gate (nagaya-mon) in Uchiura.
This is the second such reminder after the staff reprimanded pilgrims last year.
