Nintendo Planning Attractions at Universal Studios Japan Theme Park
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Hot on the tail of Universal Studio Japan's second wave of "Cool Japan" attractions opening last month, Nintendo is throwing its hat into the ring. The company announced plans to expand its character licensing for attractions at the theme park in Osaka, with no other details.
The Universal Studios Japan theme park in Osaka currently hosts "4D" experiences and rides based on Neon Genesis Evangelion, Attack on Titan, Monster Hunter, Resident Evil and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. It also houses the park's version of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and classics like Jurassic Park and Jaws.
Nintendo announced last year that it is partnering with Universal Parks & Resorts to bring Nintendo-themed attractions to Universal theme parks in the future. Nintendo's press release noted that the "immersive experiences will include major attractions at Universal's theme parks and will feature Nintendo's most famous characters and games."
