Colossal Titan Takes on Home Design Challenge

posted on by Eric Stimson
Wants home that protects his neck, ventilates his steam

Crevia, a branch of Itochu that designs apartments, is issuing a challenge for aspiring homeowners to design their ideal home using small white blocks (which are then interpreted with a drawing). It aspires to make Japanese apartments — often uniform and drab — "more interesting." The proposals range the gamut from practical to creative to probably impossible, but none are as unorthodox as the Colossal Titan's.

The iconic monster from Attack on Titan is shown trying to put together his preferred dwelling using the small blocks. He admits that he's not very good at intricate manipulation like this, but tries it out anyway. After overcoming his impulse to smash things right away, he builds a 100 meter (328 feet) tall home with a giant chair that protects the back of his neck (the Titans' weak point), ventilates his steam, and gives him easy access to the all-important wall. On the website, he explains that he wants a house to relax in after engaging in so many battles. Despite how much he's terrorized them, Eren, Levi and Mikasa pronounce the house "not bad," "comfortable" and "very beautiful," respectively.
