See Better with Hunter x Hunter Glasses
posted on by Eric Stimson
Coolens Opticals, a Japanese eyeglass maker, is trotting out a line of spectacles inspired by Hunter x Hunter. It consists of six pairs of glasses, each inspired by a different character and in three different color variations. Each pair comes with free custom cloths and cases.
Gon's eyeglasses take inspiration from his backpack straps. All of the variations are colored the same way as Gon's clothes.
Killua's side frames are based on his brother Illumi's needles. They are designed to look cute on women and are recommended wearing for show.
The designers of Kurapika's glasses went for a neutral, intelligent, pretty look to reflect that character. His left side frame has his Judgment Chain printed on it.
Since Leorio already wears glasses, Coolens faithfully reproduces them. They may be resized or exchanged at stores.
To convey Hisoka's uniqueness, intelligence and sexiness, his glasses are rimmed at the bottom.
Chrollo's eyeglasses evoke their character's simplicity, intelligence and gentlemanliness. Its hinges use titanium, and the glasses are aimed at high-class people.
Gon's, Killua's and Kurapika's glasses cost 3,750 yen (or about $37), while Leorio's, Hisoka's and Chrollo's cost 4,750 yen (or about $46.90). They go on sale in September, but customers can place pre-orders now.
