Mikoto's Coconut Cider Recreated, Sells Out at Vending Machines

There are a lot of strange drinks in the A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun anime franchise. One such drink is Mikoto's "Coconut Cider" that she's seen drinking in the series. As part of the 10th anniversary celebration of light novel author Kazuma Kamachi's debut, special vending machines around Tachikawa —the city where the series takes place— stocked up with limited edition cans of the cider. The stuff must not taste that weird, because the machines were quickly depleted by fans, some buying 18 cans at a time.

Collectible manufacturer Groove Garage kind of created sodas from the series last year in the form of piggy banks. The banks came in six varieties and only 1,500 of each type were made.
