World War II Film Series Liberation Gets Girls und Panzer Edition

If you're a fan of foreign-language World War II films and adorable girls in tanks, you might want to set aside some funds. Yuri Ozerov's five-part film series Liberation is getting a Girls und Panzer collaboration edition in Japan.
The 1970s World War II films will be released in a high-definition remastered DVD box set on April 3. The box set's jacket will feature the Oarai Girls High School and Pravda High School facing off. It also includes a microfiber towel with the same image.
Liberation chronicles Russia's fight and subsequent victory over Nazi Germany, and focuses on five major campaigns: the Battle of Kursk, the Lower Dnieper Offensive, Operation Bagration, the Vistula-Oder Offensive, and the Battle of Berlin. The series was a co-production between studios from the Soviet Union, Poland, East Germany, Italy, and former Yugoslavia.
The Girls und Panzer image shows a similar motif with Oarai's Anglerfish team manning a German Panzer IV tank and Pravda's team facing off in a Soviet T-34 tank.
The release costs 12,960 yen (~US$130).
