Sony Japan Studio's Puppeteer Gameplay Videos Feature Knight, Ninja Heads
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Sony began streaming two videos on Friday for its upcoming PlayStation 3 game Puppeteer. The videos feature the knight and the ninja heads that players can use to transform the protagonist Kūtarō and use new abilities.
The action title follows a young boy named Kūtarō who was carried away and transformed into a puppet. After literally losing his head to the maleficent Moon Bear King, the hero discovers a very special pair of scissors to help him on his "harrowing" adventure to find his head and eventually, his way home.
Puppeteer offers different heads for Kūtarō in gameplay. As Kūtarō, the player must collect and keep certain heads, which hold special powers to change the world and unlock bonus stages. There are four special heads of the legendary "Moon Heroes," who fought to protect the Moon Goddess, eventually overthrown by the game's villain, Moon Bear King. As Kūtarō, collecting these legendary heads is necessary for defeating the Moon Bear King's twelve generals and saving the Moon Realm.
Sony confirmed at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco last month that the game will go on sale on September 10 for US$39.99.
