posted on by Sarah Nelkin
Sega began streaming a promotional video for use in video game stores for the Hatsune Miku -Project Diva- F action rhythm game on Thursday.
The four-minute video features the 38-song catalog's newest additions such as "Senbonzakura" (A Thousand Cherry Blossoms) by Kurousa-P. Saki Fujita (Durarara!!, Working!!), the voice actress who provided voice samples for Hatsune Miku, narrates the store promotional video. Six songs have been added to the port, as well as new costumes for a total of about 100 for the characters.
The video notes that the new version has a photo studio where players can set up photo shoots and customize characters' expressions and poses, a live studio for experiencing concerts, stereoscopic 3D television support (not available in the actual rhythm game portion), and an improved edit mode. Players are able to transfer and synchronize their save data from their PlayStation Vita version of the game.
Sega will release the game on the PlayStation 3 on March 3, with a packaged version costing 7,329 yen (about US$82) and a downloadable version costing 6,600 yen (about US$74). Pre-orders of the game will come with an exclusive 7-centimeter (about 3-inch) rubber phone strap of Hatsune Miku.
