AKB48's Veggie Ranger Robo Ad Streamed

Kagome began streaming a second commercial in its series of sentai-themed ads for its vegetable juice starring the idol group AKB48. 30 members of the group were transformed into Balance Sentai Veggie Rangers for the commercials for Yasai Ichinichi Kore Ippon drinks. This "Veggie Ranger Robot Edition" commercial features departing AKB48 member Atsuko Maeda as a business person who is eating an unhealthy meal and Rino Sashihara as the giant "Veggie Ranger Robo."
The end of the commercial features the Balance Sentai Veggie Rangers in their "mysterious 'sentai cosplay.'" Trigun creator Yasuhiro Nightow designed the costumes.
Kagome sold its vegetable juice in the United States, although its English website only displays its sauces now.
For the past two years, AKB48 appeared in annual advertising for Kagome as the vegetable-themed "Yasai Sisters" (Vegetable Sisters). Maeda once played the tomato in the previous ads, but Minami Takahashi now plays "Tomaranger" this year.
