Kyary Pamyu Pamyu Tops U.S. iTunes' Electronic Album Chart

The 19-year-old fashion model, online personality, and singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's first album Pamyu Pamyu Revolution debuted at #1 on the United States iTunes Store's bestselling electronic album chart on Wednesday.
Kyary Pamyu Pamyu held an event on Tuesday at the Lazona Kawasaki Plaza in the city of Kawasaki to commemorate Warner Music Japan's release of the album in Japan. The outdoor event drew 6,000 people despite rainy weather.
The music videos for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's songs "Ponponpon," "Tsukematsukeru," and "Candy Candy" on Warner Music Japan's YouTube channel have more than 50 million combined views.
Kyary Pamyu Pamyu previously released the Kyarypamyupamyu no Ghibli Set album in 2011 that covered theme songs from various Studio Ghibli films.
