posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The Japan Twin Tail Association launched its official website on Thursday for its Twin Tail Project Japan. The website launched on Thursday to coincide with "Twin Tail Day" in Japan on February 2. The website and project celebrates the "twin tail" (also known as pigtails) hairstyle of wearing two ponytails on opposite sides of the head.
The website provides an in-depth history of twin tails and an explanation as to how February 2 became Twin Tail Day.
Currently the site features pages with images of models wearing twin tails in styles such as: after school twin tails, salon-created twin tails, weekend twin tails, and "on the street twin tails," which features an image of twin tail-sporting Vocaloid idol Hatsune Miku.
The site also notes it will feature a webpage on the many varieties of twin tails, and will eventually feature a message from the Twin Tail Association's president. The website also launched a Twitter account on Thursday and promises both a Facebook page and a store in the future.
