Unofficial Madoka Magica Homura Game Revealed
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The dōjin (self-published) circle Ohba-Dou revealed its unofficial Homura Combat game inspired by the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime this week. The 3D action shooting game centers on the television anime's magical girl character Homura Akemi.
In Homura Combat's story, Homura battles evil spirits in Mitakihara City during the Walpurgis Night event. Players can use a variety of weapons such as machine guns, bazookas, shotguns, missile launchers, and hand grenades to fight off enemies. Ohba-Dou will release the game on CD-R for 900 yen (about US$12) at Comic Market 81, which will take place at the Tokyo Big Sight event center from December 29 to 31.
Also inspired by Puella Magi Madoka Magica, the Twilight Frontier dojin circle released the unofficial side-scrolling action game Grief Syndrome at the Comic Market 80 event in August. Bandai Namco Games will publish the official Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable adventure dungeon role-playing game on the PlayStation Portable on March 15, 2012.
