Madoka Magica PSP Game's 2nd Promo Video Streamed
posted on by Egan Loo
The official website for the Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable game began streaming its second promotional video on Thursday, the same day that the video began playing at the Comic Market event in Tokyo. The video contains spoilers for a crucial plot development in the anime, which the game expands upon for a new role for a major character.
In the narration, the magical girl Homura Akemi (voiced by Chiwa Saitō) talks with Kyubey (Emiri Katō) about changing fate in the game, which will have scenes that cannot be seen elsewhere. The game has one route that follows Homura's point-of-view.
Yusuke Tomizawa (God Eater) and Yoshinao Doi (Steins;Gate, Madoka Magica) are producing the game, and the anime's head writer Gen Urobuchi (Fate/Zero) is collaborating on the project's planning and supervising the scenario. The studio Shaft (Bakemonogatari) is producing the game's animation sequences just as it did for the original Madoka Magica anime.
Bandai Namco Games will publish the adventure dungeon role-playing game on the PlayStation Portable on March 15, 2012. The game's regular edition will cost 6,480 yen (about US$84), while the limited-pressing pre-order edition will cost 11,990 yen (US$155).
