Koe de Oshigoto! Manga to Bundle Portable Mini Game
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The seventh limited-edition volume of Azure Konno's comedy manga Koe de Oshigoto! will bundle a portable mini game when it ships on December 24.
The mini-game is an exclusive version of Bandai's "Mousou Controller" line of keychains, which look like traditional video game controllers. The controllers play sounds if the users press the directional pad or buttons in certain combinations, such as a Street Fighter II character's move combo. The manga-bundled game, titled "Dokidoki Hōkago Training" (Heart-Pounding Afterschool Training), will instead play lines of dialogue from the heroine and other characters in the manga. The manga's seventh volume will also bundle a booklet illustrated by Konno.
The manga's sixth volume bundled a Windows-compatible game when it was released in July. The mini-adventure game adapted the 32nd manga chapter ("Onsen e Ikō!"), which follows the characters to an onsen, a traditional Japanese hot spring. Konno himself drew the graphics in the game.
Koe de Oshigoto! began its serialization in Wani Books' Monthly Comic Gum magazine in 2008. It inspired a 2-episode original video anime series last year with Mako as the lead character Kanna Aoyagi. Kanna is a high school girl who agrees to be a voice actress — only come to discover that she will be voicing adult games.
