Sugar Sugar Rune's Moyoco Anno Draws to Cheer Japan

Hataraki Man/Sakuran creator posts Ochibi-san art after March 11 quake

Moyoco Anno, the manga creator best known for Sugar Sugar Rune, Hataraki Man, and Sakuran, has been posting the above art to encourage Japan since March 13, two days after the March 11 earthquake (Tōhoku Chihō Taiheiyō-oki Jishin) and tsunami. The art feature the characters Ochibi-san, Nanzeni, and Pankui of Chibisan, the manga that Anno serializes every Monday in the Asahi Shimbun paper.

Other artists who have posted art to support Japan include Takehiko Inoue, Sushio, Takashi Murakami, Noizi Ito, and Akira Toriyama.
