Lawson Hammered by Million Hits in 1 Day by K-On Fans

The website of the convenience store chain LAWSON was temporarily unreachable for many users on Thursday as fans overwhelmed the servers at the start of a promotional campaign for K-On! character goods. The computer and mobile phone home pages received over 1 million accesses in one day. The campaign actually began on Tuesday, but users had to go online with numbers from their store receipts to see if they won various prizes, including five replicas of the guitar played by the character Yui.
