The future... urban civilisation has broken down; the crumbling tower blocks and great cities are sinking into ruin as greenery encroaches everywhere. Man's greed, though, is as active as ever, and for those who still have access to power armour and the other trappings of high technology, the new Holy Grail is an almost mythological source of energy locked in a vast underground complex. The beautiful and hot-tempered Yuta is the key... and only Randall and his gorgeous twin companions can protect her from the forces of evil, led by the unpleasant and spectacularly muscular Kei.
Beautifully designed, lush settings, attractive charas, and stylish mecha makes this derivative but charming story easy on the eye. The underwater sequences are very well done, and aficionados of the giant robot genre will recognise many visual references; but for those who don't, the is action, some comedy and charm.
