SPR, the paranormal research company Naru is the manager of, really does exist. It is called the Society for Psychical Research and is located in Marloes Road, London, UK.

Ghost hunt is an actual profession. There are several classifications for ghost hunters, and Naru appearently belongs with scientific class, that seek to prove or disprove paranormal phenomena such as ghosts through the use of scientific protocols. And they really do use everything Naru does!
