In episode four, there's a laptop with the words "TOP COW" on it. An obvious reference to the publisher of the Witchblade comics.
There is a fairly major costume difference between the TV broadcast and DVD versions of the anime. The original version of the Witchblade costume shows a lot more skin, and as thus was "censored" for the TV broadcast by coloring most of the exposed skin black.
While the U.S. DVD volumes of this series carry the TV-MA certification, some episodes on U.S. T.V. broadcaster IFC are rated TV-PG and other episodes are rated TV-14 on the same network.
After the IFC airings, the FUNimation Channel played the show with a TV-MA rating.
Michael the large bearded tenant who lives on top floor of the Natsuki Building, never once says a word through out the series other than his occasional grunts and gasps.
