Cybuster (TV)

The series is based very loosely in the Cybuster mecha series from the Super Robot wars game saga. Many of the characters (like Masaki Ando in the original game) have different names or different roles in the anime and the mechanic designs (with the only exceptions of Cybuster and Granveil) are very different from the games, and the weapons from the anime version of the series are different too, especially with Cybuster (the original Cybuster have a sword, able to shoot missiles and have a some kind of weapon named "Hi Familia" that looks like the Fin Funnels from the Nu Gundam from Char's Counterattack movie. Possibly the original weapons were removed for avoid any similarity with Escaflowne from The Vision of Escaflowne)
