Riding Bean was originally planned to be a multi-episode series, but it never happened due to a massive falling-out between Toshiba EMI and creator Kenichi Sonoda.
According to Sonoda, Semmerling's name comes from the gun she carries - .45 ACP Model LM-4, maufactured by the Semmerling Corp. of Boston, MA.
The full name of Bean's car is Buff the Roadbuster. It's built on a Porsche chassis with a Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray engine block. The body is made of 5mm battleship armor plate and the windows are a combination of bulletproof glass and Lexgard. One reason why Bean's courier rates are so high is due to the fact that Buff costs $1,000,000 to build and gets lousy gas mileage.
Translation Error: Percy's Shelby GT500 is equipped with Bilstein shocks, not "B.B. Stein" shocks.
Every location in the OVA, sans the truck stop, actually exists in Chicago.
Due to copyright issues, the Rally Vincent in this anime is different from that of Gunsmith Cats. The Riding Bean version has blond hair, while the Gunsmith Cats version has brown hair and is of Asian Indian descent.
