Trivia:

On episode 14 the main character went on a date with a girl to go watch a movie. They were watching Initial D Fourth Stage where Takumi's Eight-Six overtakes Tohru's Roadster over the gutter at Momiji Lane.

Wonder why some of the songs sound like they've been taken from version 3 of Initial D Arcade Stage? That's because Avex Trax, a eurobeat record label, does the music for both the Dear Boys series and the Initial D series. That's also the reason why the producers put in the 30-preview of the AE86 vs Roadster battle to prepare for the premiere of Initial D Fourth Stage.

In episode 21 for the english dub 4:56-5:07 the trainstation intercom in the background is still in japanese.
