24. Hidden Danger
1) IN RECAP – Dr. Myuu's/Baby's “My baby... Every time I hear that it makes my insides boil, so much I want to explode!” just before Baby emerges from Dr. Myuu's back – CUT.
2) IN RECAP – Baby's “You are nothing but a simple machine mutant. Far it was I who programmed you to gather the energy needed for my resurrection. And it was I who gave you the plans for creating Luud and the other machine mutants! Yet you had no idea, you feeble shell of a machine! Your time on this planet is over!” as he crushes Dr. Myuu's head and a dragonball pops out of the doctors head – CUT.
3) IN RECAP – Narrator's “A true monster was born and it had Goku, Pan, and Trunks in its sights!” – CUT.
25. Discovering the Truth
1) After Baby's attack and Trunks is slammed into the wall, the blood on his arm visibly reduced.
2) In the close-up of Trunks, holding his injured arm, all traces of blood is eliminated and the size of the cut is reduced.
3) NOT AN EDIT – After Baby is absorbed into Trunks, the blood from his wound is unaltered. And no more blood edited out for the rest of the episode.
26. Baby's Arrival
1) Mr. Satan/Hercule's “I, Mr. Satan, will drive the wicked out, while the weak shall take shelter under my wing!” changed to “I, Hercule, will drive the wicked out, while the weak shall take shelter under my wing!”
2) During the slow panning shot up the sign of Mr. Satan/Hercule, the name “Satan City” has been removed.
3) After Mr. Satan/Hercule tells the Baby infected individual to leave the city, the chant of “Hercule” was added.
4) Goten's “Mr. Satan! Hey! How ya doin'? It's me!” changed to “Hercule! Hey! How ya doin'? It's me!”
5) The crowd's chant “Mr. Satan” changed to “Hercule”
6) Goten's “Mr. Satan! He sure knows how to get a crowd revved up!” changed to “Hercule! He sure knows how to get a crowd revved up!”
7) Goten's “Mr. Satan! This guy's stronger than anyone that we've faced before!” changed to “Hercule! This guy's stronger than anyone that we've faced before!”
And in this episode we re-introduce the most prolific edit in the whole Dragonball franchise, the changing of Mr. Satan's name to Hercule. This one name change probably caused more work than any other. Just because of the shear number of times his name comes up, in dialog and/or printed on signs (gobs and gobs of signs, especially in the tournament scenes). Considering that he is, at best, a supporting character (at worst, a mild annoyance)... that is quite an achievement.
Even though I hate to admit it, I have to agree with this edit. The character name Hercule always seemed to fit this character better than Mr. Satan, but that's my opinion.
So from this point on I'm not going to list any more Mr. Satan/Hercule name changes.
