Arc System Works announced on Tuesday that its World End Syndrome game for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch has been delayed from April 26 to summer 2018. The staff said they want to improve the quality of the game.
The "mystery x romance adventure" game is set in the sea town of Mihate when the protagonist moves there and begins to attend a new school. He hears of a local legend in which the dead come back to life every 100 years and are known as "Yomibito." A missing high school girl could signal the return of the Yomibito.
Tomio Kanazawa is providing the scenario, Yūki Kaitō is designing the characters, and Niita Takashi is composing the music. Kōya Takahashi is in charge of backgrounds and movies. Ibuki Kido will perform the game's ending theme song.
