Launching the day of industry presentations, Jerry Chu presided over the Bandai Entertainment panel. Starting off with a few trailers, he showed sizzle reels from current and upcoming releases like Kaze no Yojimbo, Dragon Drive, Witch Hunter Robin, Galaxy Angel, Stratos 4, .hack//Legend of Twilight, Wolf's Rain, and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
During the panel, he said that Bandai was changing their distribution system. From a consumer standpoint, the availability of DVDs wouldn't change, but the pricing would be positively affected. They also have plans for better Canadian distribution, the current state of which he apologized for. He also re-confirmed plans for having Wolf's Rain and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex on Cartoon Network. Bandai is continuing to work with TechTV and Cartoon Network for future broadcasting plans.
For future releases, he said that Bandai would be releasing Onegai Twins and Di Gi Charat Nyo later this year.
During the question and answer session, Jerry also answered inquiries about Bandai's current plans. When asked about how the titles in the Moratorium are chose, he said that most of them were the result of the original Japanese company disappearing, or licenses running out. Also, regarding the DVD releases for Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, the Tachikoma specials would also be included with the episodes. As for the plans Bandai had earlier about releasing a plush toy with the Wolf's Rain box, Jerry confirmed that the plush would be Kiba in his wolf form. The Wolf's Rain OAVs would also be released on DVD, but it was yet unforeseen whether or not it would appear on Cartoon Network because of the content.
In response to a question about anime-based games, Jerry said that a Cowboy Bebop PlayStation game was premiering at E3 this year. He also said that there would most likely be a game coming out for a TV series that is highly anticipated. No further information was given.
He reconfirmed that Galaxy Angel 1 and 2 were licensed by Bandai, but could not say anything at the moment about Galaxy Angel 3.
Also, Mobile Suit Gundam F91 has a theatrical release planned for later this year, and Zeta Gundam's release was pending the preparation of extras.
