Official Sweepstakes Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. The "Tales of the World™ Radiant Mythology™ Sweepstakes" ("Sweepstakes") which begins at 12:01 AM (Pacific time) on July 20, 2007 and ends at 11:59 PM (Pacific time) on July 31, 2007 ("Sweepstakes Period"). Animate News Network and Namco Bandai Games America Inc., (“Sponsors”) are not responsible for entries not received or misdirected due to technical difficulties. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
1. ELIGIBILITY
Open to all legal residents of the United States and Canada. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Canadian residents will be required to answer a time-limited skills-based question in order to be eligible to win a prize. Employees of Sponsors and their respective affiliates, vendors, clients, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter this sweepstakes. "Immediate Family Members" shall mean parents, step-parents, legal guardians, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses. "Household Members" shall mean those people who share the same residence at least three months a year.
2. HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter the Sweepstakes, visit the http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/contest/2007-07-18/tales-of-the-world-give-away during the Sweepstakes Period. Complete the entry form by typing your name., email address, and mailing address and clicking the "Submit" button to receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes. All entries must be received by 11:59 PM (Pacific time) on July 31, 2007. Limited to one entry per person, per email, per day for the duration of the Sweepstakes Period. Entries generated by a script, macro or other automated means will be disqualified. Each entrant must be the rightful owner (or have authorized use) of the email address identified in the entrant's entry as of July 20, 2007. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner, the winner will be deemed to be the person in whose name the email account governing the email address was opened. Entrants must provide all information requested to be eligible to win. Incomplete, unreadable, or unintelligible entries will be disqualified. All information provided by entrants becomes the property of Sponsors.
3. PRIZES
Ten (10) total possible winners will be selected from all entrants to each receive a copy of the Tales of the World Radiant Mythology video game. Suggested retail value of each prize is $39.99. Winners will be responsible for any and all federal, state and/or local taxes resulting from acceptance of the prize. Prize winners cannot assign or transfer the prize to another person. No cash or prize substitution is allowed except at the discretion of Sponsors. All prizes will be awarded. If a prize cannot be awarded due to circumstances beyond the control of Sponsors, a substitute prize of equal or greater retail value will be awarded; provided, however, that if prizes are awarded but unclaimed/forfeited by recipient, prize may not be re-awarded, in Sponsors' sole discretion. Other restrictions may apply. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Limit one prize per person, per household.
4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
The winners will be selected in a random drawing conducted by the Sponsors from all eligible entries on or about August 1, 2007. All prizes will be mailed, to winners at the address within the continental United States and Canada that is provided at the time of entry, within 3 to 6 weeks of drawing. If a prize is returned as undeliverable winner forfeits his or her prize and no alternate winner will be chosen. Sponsors take no responsibility for misdirected or misdelivered prizes.
5. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION/RELEASES
Sweepstakes is void where prohibited or restricted by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of Sponsors, which shall be final in all respects. By participating in this Sweepstakes and/or by accepting any prize that they may win, entrants agree to release the Sponsors, their parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies, units and divisions and advertising and promotional agencies and prize suppliers; each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees; and each of these companies and individuals' respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Sweepstakes and/or acceptance or use of the prize. Entrants authorize the Released Parties to use their name, city and state of residence in promotional material, worldwide in perpetuity, and/or on a winner's list, without further compensation unless prohibited by law. Sponsors are not obligated to use any of the above mentioned information or materials, but may do so and may edit such information or materials, at Sponsors' sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation. Sponsors are not responsible for any failure to contact entrants, whether due to technical or human error. The Released Parties shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, stolen, misdirected, postage-due, incomplete unreadable, inaccurate, garbled or unintelligible entries, communications or affidavits, regardless of the method of transmission; (ii) telephone system, telephone or computer hardware, software or other technical or computer malfunctions, lost connections, disconnections, delays or transmission errors; (iii) data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry or other materials; (iv) any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of a prize, or from participation in the Sweepstakes; or (v) any printing, typographical, administrative or technological errors in any materials associated with the Sweepstakes. Sponsors disclaim any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participating in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with this Sweepstakes, and reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes should a virus, bug, computer problem, unauthorized intervention or other causes beyond Sponsors' control, corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Sweepstakes. Sponsors may prohibit you from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning a prize if, in their sole discretion, they determine you are attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception, or any other unfair playing practices of intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other players or Sponsors representatives. This Sweepstakes will be governed by the internal laws of the State of California. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Sweepstakes must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within the United States. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY FEES) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
6. PRIVACY POLICY
Any personal information supplied by you to Sponsors will be subject to the Anime News Network privacy policy posted at http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/privacy-policy.
Sponsors will not sell, rent, transfer or otherwise disclose your personal data to any third party other than disclosing your name. and mailing address to the shipping agent if you are chosen as a prize winner. All entry information provided by non-winners will be erased once winners have been confirmed and winners' email and mailing addresses will be erased once the prizes have been shipped.
7. Prize Winner List/RULE REQUESTS
For the list of prize winners, available after August 31, 2007, or a copy of these official rules, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: “Tales of the World Radiant Mythology Sweepstakes”, 4555 Great America Parkway, Suite 201, Santa Clara, CA 95054 before October 15, 2007.
