While the blu-rays being sold does play a factor in anime getting a second season, I don't really think that matters with One Punch Man. Yusuke Murata, artists for the manga version has said that he'll work even harder and he'll do anything he can so that One Punch Man gets a second season. One Punch Man also has the highest rating on IMDb at 9.6 with over 5,000 review votes, putting it in 1st place. It's also ranked 3rd on IMDb's list of the best TV series of all of 2015. The anime is doing a great job of promoting the manga in the US/Europe, and the anime is certainly doing a good job in Japan as well. |
