Wow, I can't wait to get my hands on the Gungrave soundtrack (and DVD). I've only seen one episode, but I could tell that the pairing of Tsuneo Imahori and Yasuhiro Nightow have returned in a big way!

I thought that the opening song was "Family," though...

No problem.

Great avatar, by the way. I have no idea what it's from, but it made me laugh.

I agree. "Toki ni Ai wa" is one of the best j-pop songs I have ever heard, and probably Masami Okui's best. Reading the column made me go and pull it up on my playlist.

"I Want to Be Your Fiancée" does not have Mitsuhiro Oikawa's vocals from the movie. The Japanese CD is also missing a vocal version, presumably due to copyright issues.

Yeah...it's so odd how bloody hard it was to find the song a few years back. It might have to do with the fact that he (Mitsuhiro) released the song several years before the Utena movie came out. His record label probably didn't want an old song of his on the ost...or wasn't offered enough money. ^^;

FYI:
Mitsuhiro Oikawa - Fiancee ni Naritai CD Single
TODT-5087
Released Dec 10, 1997

It's been out of print since 1999, but I managed to snag what was probably CD Japan's last copy of it several years back. Worth looking out for, if you like the song.
