The end of an era...

Gotta admit, I miss this series after reading the final chapter last week. I'm sure Kishimoto definitely had fun writing Naruto throughout his career.

Darn, I was hoping he was going to address how a lot of people disliked his ending.

The manga ended in Japan last week, and it will end in other areas today or this week, so there isn't enough time to receive feedback on the ending. Besides, those who didn't like the ending were people who kept shipping Naruto and Sakura all of these years. Granted, Orochimaru and Sasuke's old team should be addressed but overall, the ending was widely well received.

The ending was fine, it was the years of shit leading up to it that was horrid.

I feel like the only people who didn't like the ending didn't like the series in the first place or were watching/reading it for the wrong reason (shipping/romance)

Naruto as a series was fine. Wasn't perfect, probably wasn't as good as it could have been, but I loved it. It was my reason for subscribing to Jump in the first place.

It ended today in Japan. Technically yesterday because of time zones. Scanlations come a week early because of stores breaking street date. They're leaks that come before the official release anywhere

Plus the interview was conducted within 12 hours of him finishing things up. It's practically a logistical impossibility for fans to have read the finale in that timeframe.

expressing an opinion is NOT trolling. while I've been making fun of the series for years since shippuden I've got to admit I liked the ending, how ever it really can't make up for how bad 80% of part 2 was

I'm not upset with the ending.

Everyone grew up (AFTER HOW MANY YEARS?!) and went their different paths. It was a refreshing, warm feeling. And when you saw it, it definitely felt...like the end. Because all of the characters we saw for 15 years have changed.

It's not trolling. It was bad writing. Plot holes abound, Sakura was reduced back to her Part 1 fangirl self, and the villain won the day and got the girl. This is not a happy ending.

Part 2 was "bad" in a sense that it lost its smart "ninja" appeal and became more "dragonball". Or more about the Uchiha and bloodlines.

but fantastic things happened too.

I would hope that someone ask Kishimoto how long ago he planned to conclude the series. The ending seems fairly rushed compared to how much material was in the last arc. Doesn't even seem like a full epilogue.
