I would totally pick this up on bluray if they released it. I really loved it. It is probably a cheap license for them considering it came out a few years ago.

I don't know what everyone is excited. Funimation doesn't release physically a lot of their streams, if anything this is bad news. Blessing of Camapnella is a good example, it finally got a physical release through another company, but funi had the streaming rights for a year or two.
Until we get the news they are putting it out physically, I view this as still being at square one.

I actually view it at square -1 since Funimation's player still sucks. It's better, but it still sucks.

Really wanted to see this for a long time, but why is FUNimation treating it like a simulcast and with a streaming-only license? That seems unusual given what other older titles (in terms of the former) and pre-licenses (in terms of getting full rights) have gotten. Ben-to has gotten generally good marks, too, unless the company is being more cautious now. Guess I'll perhaps see why when the streams start…

I doubt this will end up being streaming only. This seems a lot more marketable than something like Blessing of the Campanella, and FUNi is no longer averse to releasing series subtitled-only. I think pretty much all of the series that don't get released physically (excepting special cases like the Toei back catalog) were simulcasts, not stuff that got picked up well after they aired, anyway.

Can you point out another non-simulcast license (other than the old Toei stuff picked up in Funimation's early days of streaming) that was a streaming only release?
Personally, I view this as a positive development, since I haven't streamed fansubs since July 2010.

Believe it or not, the male lead ends up naked more than all the female characters combined. He's also forced to crossdress, subjected to body cavity searches, covered in gooey white liquids, and is the protagonist of a yaoi novel one of girls is writing (he of course gets forcibly sodomized in every single scene of the novel), to say nothing of being beaten to a pulp multiple times in supermarket fights.

The ones they have only acquired streaming rights with no plans for a physical release
C3 : Cursed x Cube x I dont know what the last C is
Code Breaker
Date A Live
Moyashimon
Minami-Ke
tatami galaxy
These are a few of the shows that are streaming, but have yet to have a physical announcement. There are others, but I didn't list most of the shows from within the past few months like Blaz Blue.
C3 might be one that is the oldest of the streams with no license; while Date A live is one of the head scratchers as to why it has no physical release date yet.
In any case I am not saying it won't happen, it might be a matter of course, but there are plenty of shows streaming on there site that dont have any plans for a physical release.

Don't know about the others, but Robotics;Notes is being released in less than 2 weeks. At least part 1 is.
