I gotta say, for just 3 minutes, this sure as hell caught my attention. Nice episode. The OST was brilliant with headphones on.

lol only in Japan.... big thanks to the sponsor Japan Registry Service... Next time someone at work asks
"what's a top level domain name?"
"how do I change my website domain name"?
"well, it's like this: insert link to video"

first anime mascots for browsers... now Motoko as the mascot for... registry changes? lol

Also, agreed - music was nice.

As much as I myself hate product placement or characters turned into promotors, There is no market funding for adult anime like ghost in the shell, thus there is a financial backing to secure(aka sponsors)this is the price to pay for that kind of quality.

btw Chroma is awesome!

Hey! The money to pay the cost of making these things has to come from somewhere. Look at Tiger & Bunny. Laughing

Tiger & Bunny was like doubleplusgood. Not only did they get their funding from tons of product placement, it sold lots of video, and created merchandise like body pillows, etc thanks to fujoshi. Also remember Pizza Hut and Code Geass?

It's the same with Evagelion. And it's not like Anno really needed to do it to fund Evangelion either. But it's great that he can still create animated Eva ads for shavers, or license out Eva for use in non-otaku products like cufflinks, etc.

I believe those are financed upfront by investors, then it's pay back time, money leftovers is profit Cool. I think very few studio can afford to fund production by themself. Take Solid State Society which had a $3000000+ budget.

Agreed. I like how the OST incorporates elements from the S.A.C. OSTs from Kanno-san, but but also stands out very nicely on its own for Arise. Looking forward to the Arise OST release on November 27th. I'm also wondering at the same time if additional OSTs will be released as each part of the OVA comes out.

Also liked the look of Kusanagi/Chroma that was produced for this webisode.
