My copy arrived yesterday and I sat down tonight to watch it. I enjoyed it, but it definitely was a bit different from what I was expecting as far as pacing goes. I was never bored for a second even during the slower parts; I thought they were effective character building, mostly (and most importantly) for Rune. Honestly, I wished it was longer--it hardly felt like a whole hour long.

I kind of agree about the stuff with Boiled. I don't think it quite makes him sympathetic, but it does help make Oefcoque's backstory have more weight, so it didn't feel meaningless.

Also, flying cyborg sharks. That part alone was worth watching the entire movie for. And rainbows... rainbows everywhere...

This might be the best thing I have ever read.

It's quite strange, I've had this movie on fansub for months and haven't felt the need to watch it. But now that I've read that that sentence, I want to check it out. I mean, the golden mouse is one thing, but a dolphin? Wow.

And flying cyborg sharks. Don't forget the flying cyborg sharks.

Also, to make it even more weird, the dolphin even says "homosexual" (actually, maybe "lover" too, but I can't remember for sure) in English in the Japanese dub. Totally unexpected, that whole scene, haha.

Agreed, quite enjoyed the second movie. I would have been happy with longer as well, I'm really liking these. I agree with the review too, I loved both the dub and sub voice casts. Can't wait for the third film.

All the negatives of this movie are blown away by the fact that there are flying robot sharks with teeth of fire in it.

I found the casino half to be much more interesting.

Tow Ubukata and Soubi Yamamoto should collaborate on a movie called "This Boy F***s a Male Dolphin".

By Theron's description of this movie, it sounds like they already did.

I really like the ill-tempered, mutated sea bass, though.

This movie also was good imo although I found it more as a set up for the finale of the trilogy. Those animation artwork sure were glorioius though.

Can't wait for the third movie soon.
