You know what would be great? For these two films to make their way to Memphis.

But of course, THAT'LL NEVER HAPPEN. Because apparently WE DON'T EXIST AS A CITY. Evil or Very Mad

How many live in Memphis? We only have 1 showing for the 5.5 million population of the Miami metro area.

I've already got my tickets. The Brattle is a tiny theater, and probably seats only 200-300 at best. I'm betting a second showing is added.

The way to make that happen is to find a small, independent theater, and tell them about these films, and tell them about your interest in them. Get all your friends to do so, as well.

Movies don't just "come" to cities, they are invited there by theater owners looking to sell tickets. Theater owners won't invite a film unless they think it will make money for their theater.

Finally! I've been hoping that these films would make their way to Boston. A 1 hour trip is doable.

A 1-hr trip is nothing. It's like a daily commute. Smile

They cleverly scheduled this movie exactly at the time when Harvard is on winter break and MIT is in the midst of Independent Activities Period.

Oh, well, I just bought my tickets.

I'm shocked nothing in D.C. has been announced yet. Or even around Maryland. I get excited every time I see the news feature of another new city and then become saddened. We've had everything from Eva 2.22 to Summer Wars to Bleach, Sword of the Stranger, all 3 Death Note movies and the FMA: Brotherhood movie in or around D.C. or Maryland so the fact that we still haven't gotten this is shocking.

So weird we still don't have a date. Hope one comes soon though!

So wait, that's how the movies come to cities? Because I have a independent theater nearby, and I'm pretty sure they'd consider getting the Madoka movies, since there's a pretty good-sized anime fan population around.
