It's cute when they grasp at straws for content.

That list makes me realize just how awful Summer season was. I haven't seen a top as weak as SAO since god knows when.

No catboys to choose from? Not even Ritsuka from Loveless? I'll abstain from voting then.

TRC's title actually makes sorta-kinda sense at the end of the manga (end of series spoilers ahead) basically both main characters were clones of people whose real names were Tsubasa, therefore this is the story of extra people/back-ups named Tsubasa Totally understand if people think that's a lame reason, I still don't know why various letters are/aren't capitalized.

I'm surprised Bodacious Space Pirates wasn't on the list. Sure the space pirates thing is (barely) accurate but "Bodacious" makes you think of them walking around just being sexy and ridiculous, and while the crew was all female at one point, fanservice was pretty much non-existance.
I still really wish Sentai would have changed the title for the US release but eh.

It was a pretty good season. Dog Days', Tari Tari and Sword Art Online were all some of the better shows of the year so far.

How could you fail to include Princess Tutu? It's totally misleading, Anyone who read the title thinks it might be a show for Little Girls but good lord it's one of the darkest shows I've seen.

"Mouretsu" has similar connotations and a similar definition. "Bodacious" is simply the perfect translation - and they're both good descriptors(well, minus the connotations).

Also, a reservoir DOES play an important part in the story, but yeah again, only near the end of the manga

Well, being considered "sexy" is really just ONE possible definition for bodacious, and probably one of the more known ones thanks to years of really bad surfer talk.
According to Websters it can also mean, "outright", "remarkable" or "unmistakable".
Also, apparenlty it could be considered to be a portmanteu of "Bold" and "Audacious"
Also characters in Kiddy Grade are actually given a "grade" in accordance to their power level. But it was, in my opinion, mentioned pretty infrequantly and not really defined all that well.

I'm a die hard Princess Tutu fan who's always happy to see the show get more exposure, but even so, I don't think it's really the type of misleading title Lynzee was going for with this list.
article wrote: | Not only do the eight entries on the list fail to adequately describe the show's purpose, the phrase itself is usually never addressed within the show. |
Princess Tutu is misleading only because it suggests a different tone than the anime actually has, but aside from that it's accurate. It gives the impression the show will involve ballet, and the show does. It gives the impression the show will involve someone known as Princess Tutu, and the show does, as the main character has a magical alter ego with that name.

I can pick Natsume, Nisemonogatari, Space Brothers, Mine Fujiko, Fate Zero 2, and Jormungand just from the ones I've seen this year. Not to mention that the current season is somewhat promising, at least vastly more than the previous. And Dog Days, really? I haven't seen Tari Tari so I can't comment on that, and saying SAO is one of the best is understandable considering how overrated the thing is amidst its touchy fanboys/fangirls, but Dog Days is pretty much the come and go unnoticed, fluff of the season.
Opinions are subjective yes, but you take it to a whole new level.

I myself have always wondered why Bleach was called Bleach, though I hold out hope that at the end of the series, all the characters will get together and open a laundromat.
Great List! Thanks for the laughs, Lynzee!

After the Soul Society arc I just assumed it was because of the massive cast of bland characters. It's almost like someone poured bleach over them. Bleach, get it? Aha, almost as funny as Bleach.
If at least we could add Consuela to the cast. Oh Seniore Kurosaki, nononono, u no save your friends again this arc, we sick of it!

Well, in the original concept for the series Kubo had, the main character was going to use guns. So the series was going to be called "Shoot."
But as things changed, that got thrown out, so Kubo thought of "Black," because the shinigami/soul reapers wear black uniforms.
For reasons I can't remember, Kubo's mind then went to the opposite of black, "White." Finally he settled on calling it something that suggested whiteness, "Bleach."
So there you have it. (No, I am not making this up.)
So actually, Bleach would have been a good title for this list.

Another few things to consider:
1-when a soul reaper kills a hollow, they're cleansed of all the sins they commited as a hollow
2-Ichigo's Inner Hollow is completely white
3-This is kind of silly and probably not meant to be taken seriously, but in an early chapter of the manga, a guy with blond hair accuses Ichigo of trying to steal his "look".
I've heard that if you actually use bleach on your hair to make it blond, it could actually end up turning an orangy color, especially if you're out in the sun too long.
