So Aniplex USA wen;t after this instead of Magi or Robotics Notes huh? The latter seemed more their kind of show for what they usually charge considering they seem to like milking the VN crowd but eh.

Well I'm kind of curious about this show so I'll be checking it out

Magi will probably be a Viz title since it is a shogakukan property.

AUSA was started as a licensing aid. Are we sure that's not what they're doing here?

Milking the VN crowd? Not really since the only two properties even related to VNs are F/Z and Kara no Kyoukai since they are Type-Moon properties and Type-Moon also makes visual novels.

they milk type moon fans that is for sure, but I'm pretty sure kara no kyoukai is just a regular series of novels. also oreimo isn't originally a VN or isn't still I think (do the PSP games count as VNs?) but another regular set of novels.

Yea, Kara no Kyoukai is not a VN, but the company who made it also makes VNs - small connection. That's why I mentioned it.

OreImo is originally a light novel (yes, the PSP games can be considered a visual novel), same goes with Bake/Nise, Baccano, DRRR! and ROD.

Don't you mean "roll, Crunchy, roll!" Laughing

That aside, ever since I read a synopsis for Faust, I've noticed many anime follow the whole format of "X makes a deal with Y for power". It's not a bad thing but this revelation comes across as a bit surprising. The summary of Zetsuen no Tempest gives off that vibe.

F/Z and Kara No kyoukai are not visual novels.
funimation milks VN and manga crowd, and aniplex milks LN crowd.
