All three are must haves for me. I got the DVD versions of both Laputa and Whisper used fairly cheap ($5 each, I believe) so I don't mind doing the double dip dance for them.

I wish they'd release Princess Mononoke instead of this garbage. I know the blu hasn't come out in Japan yet but when it does it will probably be two years till a U.S. release...

Garbage? Hey, I'm a big fan of Princess Mononoke too, but come on. People like you (i.e. people with shitty taste) are a real blight on anime fandom.

Laputa and Mimi o Sumaseba are garbage now? Huh. And while Arrietty wasn't the best film to come out of Ghibli, I wouldn't call it crap.

At least with Mononoke, we'll actually get a U.S. release at some point. I'm still waiting on R1 DVDs for a couple of Ghibli that have been hidden away somewhere deep in the Disney Vault. Sad

Hmm...well, if they haven't announced whether Arrietty will have both Brit and American dubs, it seems like that won't be the case. I would've guessed they'd have mentioned that feature along with the release date. Too bad, I was looking forward to hearing the British dub. Still, I plan on picking up all three titles.

I'm in for Arrietty, without a doubt. I already have Laputa on DVD, and I don't know if it'll be worth it to me to double dip - there are so many other titles on my acquisition list. Don't have Whisper yet, though, gonna have to look in to that.

Arrietty can punch with any Ghibli out there. Its only major disadvantage right now is newness.

As for Princess Mononoke, didn't that license fall into limbo? I've heard varying reports about its status after Miramax dissolved.
