I kind of dislike this idea.
Why should someone who is not even enrolled, nor ever been enrolled in this college, get honorary degrees? All 3 of these executives are already successful and do not need a degree. |

Successful people get honorary degrees all the time from institutions within their fields. It's just recognition.
BTW, it bears noting that RISD's most notable alumni is Seth MacFarlane of Family Guy fame (and just got paid $100 million). |

This isn't a new idea, this happens at graduations all over the country every year. The school picks someone to recognize. |
