That is a real shame. Funimation is about the only channel I watch besides CNN/Fox. Now I have to go back to Adult Swim I guess.

Sigh.

They have a lot of good shows but I have Cox so I never had the channel to even watch it. I wonder what "very low" really means anyway, to a cable company

Seriously? Sad

Ugh, this...I watch it all the time. Such a pity.

Its been ages since I had Cox, but I seem to recall having FUNi on it. Though maybe its just my misremembering.

In any event, bleh.

Not enough people to spread the word, which is always the case (or people that likes anime, forget to tell their friends). Sometimes it feels like Anime to everyone in the U.S. is non-existent.

When I called Verizon last night to inquire about it, the customer service representative had no idea the channel was being dropped. He said usually they receive an internal notice before their customers do. Guess Verizon thought nobody would call and complain. Confused

I always watch whole series in one or two sittings, I can never just watch something once a week. I probably wouldn't have watched it even if I had fios.

If you're on FIOS let them know ~ if the viewership is low but the channel is responsible for many of those viewer keeping the service, that's something that's relevant to the decision.

I believe this has more to do with cutting costs on the FIOS platform, which Verizon isn't planning on expanding anymore.

Considering the many options that have opened up with legal availability of anime in recent years like streaming and rental, I wouldn't consider this much of a loss.
