I'm glad the Japanese voice cast is the same since it sounds like everyone on the EN side got replaced.

I mean this shouldn’t have surprised anyone even Golden replaced some of the English cast from the PS2 version which actually was good thing for characters like Chie.

Hope it won't get the P3R treatment in term of censorship though~
P4 and P4G were best at what they were after all

I feel it will because 4 has way more controversial content than 3 ever did. Even ignoring the Kanji and Naoto discourse a lot of the dialog was very naturally 2000s teenager dialog. If the dialog in Persona 3 was seen as too controversial than the dialog in 4 is probably going to be rewritten as well
It's nice to see Marie in the trailer at least which means Golden content is not being held off for DLC like P3R did but I suppose there's nothing stopping them from just having her as an NPC and then selling you her dungeon and ending later on. Maybe I'm just cynical though.

They literally say it's a remake of Golden on the website and they have screenshots of the ski trip that leads into her dungeon, you absolutely are being cynical for no reason lol

I just hope they alter that stupid scene at the Amagi inn so the girls actually apologize to the boys or whatever. You know what I mean.

Or add in an option to take Kashiwagi up on her offer... but since Reload didn't add a Toriumi route I suppose this wont let you date a teacher here either. 5 really did spoil us.

This isn't the same as what happened there. Golden replaced a couple of actors. This is like with P3R, where the entire English cast is different, despite having the same Japanese cast and the English actors making it known they were available. For some reason, those with casting authority insist on this

While it is true it’s not the same voice actors in English dubbed shows get replaced frequently for normal reasons like conflicting schedules, or legal troubles, to the more dubious such as how dare you be apart of a union.

Just like Reload the new voices are clearly trying to mimic the original English cast except for Teddie who sounds nothing like his original voice and more like a girl now. The old cast also saying they asked to return and were rejected is also pretty damning. Money or just wanting a new generation of voices for creative control are most likely.
I like the new song they played in the trailer though. It fits and is much preferable to the less-good version of Want to Be Close we got from Reload's trailer. Probably best to do new songs and music rather than recreate the originals that can never be topped.

The OST is almost certainly going to be like Reload's with a couple new songs sprinkled in along with all the remixes (we've already heard a song from Golden in the last teaser). This is like how the announcement trailer for P3R used The Meaning of Armbands and not anything from the original OST. But this time it's Kozuka and not Kitajoh, who I'd generally trust more to do something interesting with it

Are we talking about his Japanese voice because good as Kappei Yamaguchi is his Teddie is horrible on the ears.

Yeah, I'll stick to my original PS2 copy.
I really never liked Golden's new content or new girl.
And I expect a lot of censorship that will destroy Yusuke, Kanji and Naoto's characters.
Maybe the anime cutscenes will be improved, but I felt P3 Reload's cutscenes were neutered compared to the visual direction of the original P3. Not including The Answer in the base game was also a blatant typical Atlus money grab decision. It would be one thing if they were still a smaller independent studio and could use the additional income, but they are owned by SEGA now.
