Guess they're pretending the last live-action KOF movie didn't happen. Since I can't find that 'stupidity' clip of it, here's the Wikipedia entry. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_King_of_Fighters_(film)

Considering how KOF’s is a spinoff that slightly disregards the canon of the Art Of Fightng & Fatal Fury to create its own. They probably should ignore that.

But also that movie was terrible.

It's sad how after the Vice and Matute dlc, SNK started ignoring the Kof IP completely.

They're not ignoring KOF, they're simply focusing on other IPs at the moment. There's no way SNK can develop & release multiple fighting games at the same time like they used to on the Neo Geo, especially with the modern day focus on DLC seasons that make a fighter stay relevant in the long term.

They released KOF XV & gave it the support, but now the focus is on Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and after that they have the new Art of Fighting game that they've already confirmed is in the works. The next KOF is probably already in early pre-production & will likely enter proper development once Fatal Fury is 100% finished & Art of Fighting is closer to release.

Lol KOF has been one of their go to franchises and we’re crying about them ignoring it after they started remembering Fatal Fury and Art Of Fighting exist?

Hell Samurai Shodown fans have been left tearing in the wind since the reboot came out awhile aback.

I'd like to see how a modern Fatal Fury animated adaptation would look like. Though if they are also planning on making a KOF adaptation, I wonder if they would set both series in separate universes/continuities.
Another SNK game that could translate well into an animated adaptation would be The Last Blade.
