The fact that this network was caught in a human trafficking ring and other companies at least some are still willing to sponsor them shows how messed up the industry still is and are willing to care more profit than basic human rights is why the termm black companies exist.

Shame Sad

Well, back to wondering what ends first, Sazae-San or The Simpsons. Particuarly as the latter got ANOTHER renewal to bring up the total to Season 40, at which point Marge's VA will be 78 and the rest of the main cast in their 70s as well.

Maybe out of topic, but that new Anne Shirley anime that just started is broadcasting on NHK Educational TV, not Fuji TV, even though Fuji TV is heavily involved in its production. It can't be that NHK is covering for Fuji TV now, can it?

So just how much cash has Fuji TV been bleeding, and how much do they have left before they have to start taking drastic measures?

Yeah, pretty much every Digimon show has been a Fuji TV joint. Same timeslot, even -- 9 AM on Saturdays.

I didn’t know Fuji was heavily involved in the production, besides being on the committee

The Fuji Creative Corporation produces the 'Anne Shirley' anime TV programme.
Whilst the Fuji Creative Corporation belongs to the Fujisankei Communications Group, the Fuji Creative Corporation produces TV programmes also for other TV stations than Fuji TV.
For example, AX-ON Inc. is a subsidiary company to the Nippon Television Holdings, Inc., but AX-ON Inc. produces TV programmes also for TV stations other than Nippon Television.
So there are cases where a production company which belongs to media conglomerate X produces a TV programme for a TV station which belongs to media conglomerate Y.

I dimly recall from reading DisneyWar that after Disney bought ABC, there were some difficulties involving getting other networks to buy Touchstone shows, though it did still happen sometimes (Felicity, Scrubs). I think it's become less common in America over the years, as the conglomerates have solidified and vertically integrated in the wake of the fin-syn rules being repealed.

I guess this invites a question -- is it just Fuji TV itself that's become radioactive? Wikipedia says other affiliate stations have lost advertisers too, and it looks like some BS Fuji programs have been cancelled. Have any of Fuji Media Holdings' other revenue streams taken hits? Like Pony Canyon's sales, or what was mentioned before, programming sold to other distributors?

(Note that Anne Shirley was announced to be broadcast on NHK-E well before the scandal broke.)

That's not true. Digimon Fusion aired on TV Asahi and Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters aired on TV Tokyo.

That’s what I get for not double-checking, I guess!

Pretty sure Fuji TV’s 9:00 Sunday timeslot has housed the bulk of them, though. (Don't know why I put Saturday.)
