Submit as many as you like. Connections to existing characters is fine, so long as it hasn't already been done in the series. The contest calls for original characters that fit into the series, so using what you know about the show to make a compelling character that has connections to existing characters is fine. |

Awsome, this is similar to the Samurai Champloo contests on the ASMB. What's even more cool is that I just went threw 116 Naruto fansubs in less than a week!
So I'm jacked up enough on Naruto to actually submit some fine art, kudos to ANN. |

You can, but try and keep the description relatively simple. If you're creating an entire new cast of characters, you've gone a little overboard. Oh, and again, if your art is terrible don't worry too much about it. Just try your best. |

Just an idle curiosity, but I have a bit of a question about this little rule here:
Does "other sources" include, for example, mythology or astrology? I had an idea for a Naruto character a ways back that tied into the whole Shijin concept, specifically Seiryuu of the East. Would that be considered fair game or does it fall under the rule against "lifting from other sources?" |
